Senior citizens are a growing population in the U.S. with approximately 10,000 “Baby Boomers” turning 65 each day. Health care and health care cost are becoming a concern for this population. They want to be able to stay active and healthy without spending thousands of dollars. At our office, I receive a general consensus among this population that they don’t want to take more medications and they want to avoid surgery. Chiropractic care is a great option for senior citizens.
A study from Topics In Clinical Chiropractic performed an analysis of an insurance database, comparing persons receiving chiropractic care with nonchiropractic patients. The study consisted of senior citizens >75 years of age. The study found recipents of chiropractic care reported better overall health, spent fewer days in hospitals and nursing homes, used fewer prescription drugs, and were more active than the nonchiropractic patients.
At our office we absolutely love helping senior citizens feel better, move with more ease and live with good health. I have personally noticed our senior citizen patients benefit greatly by receiving chiropractic care on a regular basis. We would love to help you feel your best!
